An Amethyst in the Making: New Friends

Hadley reached out her hand to Raven, and Raven took it. Hadley led Raven down the stairs and out the door. A bright ray of sunlight greeted them. Around the house was vibrant green grass, and in front of the house, a cobblestone path, leading through the rest of the town. There was a couple of houses and shops in this town, but it was considerably small. Hadley lived on the edge of the town, next to nature, where she preferred to be.

She walked with Raven down the cobblestone path to the town hub. The town hub had a well. There, they saw a man with unruly red hair. He was wearing a black shirt lined with an orange string, not knights armor. He was bending over the well, looking inside. Hadley saw him and ran over to him, still holding Raven’s hand, and dragging her. “Boo!” Hadley shouted.

The guy jumped up and almost fell in the well. He turned around in a flash. He looked at Hadley, and she was giggling. Hadley’s laughter grew and grew, until the man started laughing as well. Raven let go of Hadley’s hand. Raven stood there in confusion, watching the two laugh like little kids. They finally stopped laughing after awhile.

“I thought that was you, Hadley.” The man said.

“Well, you guessed right, Michael.” Hadley responded. Michael looked around Hadley, which was easy sense he was taller than her.

“Who’s your dirty haired friend over there?” Michael asked and Hadley turned around. Hadley moved her head, encouraging Raven to come over, and she did.

“This is Raven. She is new here. Funny story actually, she doesn’t have any memories, and she is the same age as me. I think?” Hadley explained.

“Well, that was a short explanation. Speaking of short, she is taller than you, that makes you still the shortest.” Michael teased.

“Um… what is going on?” Raven asked.

“Right, sorry. Raven, this is Michael, he is my best friend. Michael, this is Raven, my new friend.” Hadley said excitedly.

“Nice to meet you.” Michael gave her his hand. Raven nervously shook it. “So, Hadley, I heard some noise coming from Kyro’s house. Was everything alright in there?”

“Yeah, well, that was Raven, and me yelling at my brother for hitting her in the head with a pan.” Hadley said, and Raven didn’t show any emotion.

“Oof, how did you get them to take her to your house?” Michael asked.

“Well, I just annoyed Coen.” Hadley answered. Then, Coen came up behind Michael.

“Hello, Michael, girl, Sister.” Coen said grumpily. Then, Raven paid more attention.

“Geez bro! You sound like, unhappy or something.” Hadley told him.

“Well, first of all, you’re annoying, and second, Kyro assigned me to the job of helping Steve with stuff because I hit that girl.” Kyro responded.

“Her name is Raven.” Hadley said.

“Whatever, has anyone seen Steve? I can’t find him.” Coen asked.

“Oh yeah! He is stuck in the well. I was trying to get him out but then I got interrupted.” Michael answered.

Then Coen went to grab a long rope, and eventually came back with one. They sent the rope down and pulled. After a bit, Steve popped out, wet. Steve had dusty blonde hair and brown eyes. Then they stood in a circle, staring at each other. Waiting for the next move.
